If you open a CSV file in Excel and see all the data is in the first column, then you may need to adjust your settings in Excel. You need to make sure that the "List Separator" is set to use a comma, and not any other character. Follow these steps to adjust this setting.
For Mac iOS
Step 1: Go to System Preferences
Click on the Apple menu on the top left of your screen. Then click on System Preferences.
Step 2: Select Language & Region Settings
In your system preferences, open Language & Region.
Then, click on Advanced at the bottom.
Step 3: Set the comma as your "List Separator"
In Mac, "List Separator" is called "Grouping". Make sure you have a comma for Grouping and a decimal point for Decimal.
Save your changes by clicking OK.
For Windows
Step 1: Go to Control Panel
Click on the Windows menu and search for the Control Panel.
Step 2: Select Clock and Region
Click on the Clock and Region option and then, click on Region to change the number formats.
Step 3: Set the comma as your "List Separator"
In Region, click on the Additional settings button.
Then, go down to "List Separator" and make sure you have a comma for List Separator and a decimal point for the Decimal Symbol.
Save your changes by clicking Apply.
