Within the Room Management section, you have the ability to make changes to your rooms and linked rosters. Additionally, the room management table allows you to perform various actions, such as archiving a room, reassigning ownership, adding missing guardians, and assigning guardians to students. You can also resend app invitations and enter missing guardian information. These actions can be performed individually or in bulk.

Solving Missing Guardian(s) In A Room
Editing A Room
Step 1: Click on Messaging
Click on Messaging at the top of your screen.
Step 2: Click on the Room Management card.
Click on View in the Room Management Card.
Step 3: Identify the room to edit
A table with all your rooms created within your school will appear. Identify the room that you would like to edit.
Click on the Show More Options menu at the end of the selected row. You can view the details of your room, edit your room or archive your room.
Step 4: Edit your room
Select the Edit option. You can edit the room name or the owner in the modal.
- đź’ If you would like to edit the roster (students within the room), click on the name of your roster which is highlighted in blue.
Click on the Save button.
Congratulations! 🎉 You have successfully edited your Room.
Bulk Actions: Archiving a Room, Reassigning an Owner or Connecting All Guardians
Archiving Multiple Rooms
Step 1: Select multiple rooms
Select the multiple rooms using the checkbox on the left side of your table. Under the search bar, you will see different bulk actions.
Select Archive.
Step 2: Verification modal
Once you click on Archive, you will be prompted with a verification modal to confirm you selected the correct rooms.
Important Note:❗️Any room you archive will also automatically archive for the room owner.
Click on Archive.
Congratulations! 🎉 You have successfully archived multiple rooms.
Reassigning A Room Owner
Step 1: Select multiple rooms
Select the multiple rooms using the checkbox on the left side of your table. Under the search bar, you will see different bulk actions.
Select Reassign Room Owner.
Step 2: Search and Reassign Owner
In the modal, you will be prompted to search for the new staff member that will own these rooms.
- đź’ Rooms can only have one owner.
After selecting the new room owner, click on the Reassign button.
Congratulations! 🎉 You have successfully reassigned the room owner.
Solving Missing Guardian(s) In A Room
Pending Guardian
Step 1: Identify issues under the Guardian’s column
From the Room Management table, you will be able to see the guardian’s status in a room. The room status will either be:
- All Connected: All the guardians are connected to the room and should receive direct messages – this status will be highlighted in green.
- Issues: There can be several issues highlighted. There may be pending guardian invitations that need to be resent, and there can be missing guardian information, or a student may need a guardian assigned to them – this status will be highlighted in red.
Click on the Issues button.
Step 2: Click on a Guardian with a Pending Status
A modal will open showing you each individual Guardian’s status. Identify which Guardian has a yellow Pending status.
Click on the Resend button.
- đź’ You can resend the invitation again after 48hrs.
Congratulations! 🎉 You have successfully resent the invitation.
Missing Guardian Info
Step 1: Identify issues under the Guardian’s column
From the Room Management table, you will be able to see the guardian’s status in a room. The room status will either be:
- All Connected: All the guardians are connected to the room and should receive direct messages – this status will be highlighted in green.
- Issues: There can be several issues highlighted. There may be pending guardian invitations that need to be resent, there can be missing guardian information, or a student may need a guardian assigned to them – this status will be highlighted in red.
Click on the Issues button.
Step 2: Click on a Guardian with missing information
A modal will open showing you each individual Guardian’s status. Identify which Guardian has a red pill next to the Missing Guardian Info text.
Click on the Solve button.
Step 3: Update Guardian’s information
In the modal, you can update the Guardian’s information.
Once you are done, click on the Update button.
- ❗️After you update a guardian’s information, their status will change from red for Solve to yellow for Pending. Refer to the Pending Guardian section above.
Step 4: Resend Invitation
Don’t forget to resend their invitation to connect to connect to the room!
Congratulations! 🎉 You have successfully updated the Guardian’s information.
Missing Guardian (Assign or Add New)
Step 1: Identify issues under the Guardian’s column
From the Room Management table, you will be able to see the guardian’s status in a room. The room status will either be:
- All Connected: All the guardians are connected to the room and should receive direct messages – this status will be highlighted in green.
- Issues: There can be several issues highlighted. There may be pending guardian invitations that need to be resent, there can be missing guardian information, or a student may need a guardian assigned to them – this status will be highlighted in red.
Click on the Issues button.
Step 2: Click on a Guardian with missing information
A modal will open showing you each individual Guardian’s status. Identify which Guardian has a red pill next to the Missing Guardian text.
Click on the Solve button.
Step 3: Assign guardian
To assign a guardian(s) to a student, use the search bar in the modal. If the guardian is in the database, they will show up in the dropdown menu. Select the guardian(s).
- đź’ Alternatively, if the Guardian is not in the system, you have an Add New button in the dropdown or read the Adding a New Guardian article.
Click on the Assign button.
- ❗️After you update a guardian’s information, their status will change from red for Solve to yellow for Pending. Refer to the Pending Guardian section above.
Step 4: Resend Invitation
Don’t forget to resend their invitation to connect to connect to the room!
Congratulations! 🎉 You have successfully updated a guardian(s) to a student.
Editing a Linked Roster
Step 1: Click on Messaging
Click on Messaging at the top of your screen.
Step 2: Click on the Room Management card.
Click on View in the Room Management Card.
Step 3: Identify the roster to edit
A table with all your rooms created by you or another staff member will show up. Identify the roster that you will like to edit under the Linked Roster column.
Step 4: Open Edit Roster Modal
A modal will open, prompting you to edit the information in the roster.
Important Note:❗️Any roster you edit will automatically update all the rooms linked to that particular roster.
Click on the Edit Roster button in the modal.
Step 5: Edit Roster
You can edit the roster name, add, delete, or change staff member permissions, and add or delete students.
Click on the Save button.
Congratulations! 🎉 You have successfully edited a linked roster to a room.
